In support of the National Clean-up day on 21 September 2019 an inter-house clean-up competition for the schools in Oranjemund was arranged for Friday, 13 September 2019.  This also included awareness sessions focusing on the negatives of waste to the environment and what are recyclables. The amount of recyclables removed on the outskirts of town in the desert was shocking and it was all done in only 2 hours.
