This project was initiated by staff members Emaigne Ockhuizen and Dene Kisting, who organised a competition with the local schools to design a picture that best represents our town. The two winners, Linus Shivolo and Pombili Shimbeta then had the opportunity to incorporate their designs into the final version of the artwork that was completed by artist Giovanni van Rensburg and his assistant Gabriel Muteka.
