OMD 2030 organised a Women’s Conference with community volunteer Mara Beukes to celebrate the role of women in the Oranjemund community during October 2019.

International Women’s Day/Month recognises the significant role that women play in every community. OMD 2030 recognised the key role that Oranjemund women play by launching a women’s wall at the Hub during the International Women’s month in 2019. Locals were encouraged to describe in a few words, what makes Oranjemund women special.
